An art photograph on canvas entitled Indigenous kids by Dr. Edwin Antonio was purchased by no less than the Honorable Eric Bawingan, mayor of the municipality of Adams. He got impressed by the photos exhibited by the members of The Ilocandia Photographic Society (TIPS) during the Baro a Rubuatan Exhibit. He got even more excited to see some of the photographs taken from his municipality.
The lovely town of Adams is an eco-adventure destination of the North. It is an upland town inhabited by indigenous peoples composed of only one barangay. It boasts of wonderful water falls, rivers, mountains and hanging bridges. Exotic foods and local wines can also be found here.
The group was commissioned last year to take photographs of their town for their tourism promotion. This is one of the shots taken by Dr. Antonio depicting the indigenous children of the said town. The said photograph was bought for the municipal government and is now being displayed as the Sangguniang Bayan session hall.
The photograph shows Dr Antonio and Mayor Bawingan during the Rubuatan Exhibit at the Museo Iloco in Laoag City where the said photo was displayed behind their back.
