TIPS covers Pamulinawen Festival

It was another year of the Pamulinawen Festival. It is now on its 15th year. It is a thanksgiving celebrated by the city of Laoag in honor of her patron St. William the Hermit. It has been a tradition now of the members of The Ilocandia Photographic Society (TIPS) to attend and cover the said festival. Most of TIPSters were there to cover and enjoy the event. They even met some other hobbyist photographers and the kid photographers.

Again, the different municipalities of Ilocos Norte, different institutions in Laoag City and including guest competing groups such as Santa Maria from Ilocos Sur have participated in the Street Pageantry. They competed with each other for the much coveted plum prize of Php100,000.

After the showdown, the board of judges came up with the final results that everyone has waited for. The 3rd place went to La Paz School of Fisheries and 2nd place went to the Holy Spirit School. For just a .17 points difference to the 2nd place Ilocos Norte National High School is victorious in taking home the big prize and the first place.
