TIPS attends Looking for Johnny Moon workshop

They call Johnny Moon as the postmodern incarnation of the world renowned painter and the beloved son of Ilocos Norte Juan Luna. It is the renaissance of the Ilocano genius in the new millennium. It is the dawning of a new breed of Johnny Moon who will blend innovative art in the digital world.

The said seminar workshop aimed to find Johnny Moon among the participants who might rock the current perceptions of art. Members of the The Ilocandia Photographic Society (TIPS)did not pass this opportunity for the search of Johnny Moon.

TIPSters Bryan Rapadas, Alaric Yanos, Andie Lamug, Ronald Macatulad, Michael Ong and Lorna Tolentino-Macatulad participated the seminar-workshop Looking for Johnny Moon, the very first Ilocos Digital Arts Festival on July 14-16, 2011 at the Plaza Del Norte.

There were lectures on cinematography, scriptwriting, film directing, film editing with special effects, animation, game development and digital photography. There was also screening of independent films by Directors Soxie Topacio, Lee Meily, Danny AƱonuevo, Mark Meily. A workshop on tours were held in Currimao, Paoay Lake, Batac, Malacanang of the North, Sand Dunes, Burgos Light House, Windmill in Bangui, Kapurpurawan in Burgos, and Laoag City.
